Increase your rental income. Tenants with
pets have less choice of property and will therefore pay
a bit more for the privilege of being able to keep their
beloved pet.
- More than 1 in 2 households in the UK own a pet.
So by not accepting pets you will be potentially missing
out on over 50% of the market.
- 23% of UK households own a dog and of these 79%
have only one dog!
- Pets can mean fish, birds, small animals (guinea pigs,
hamsters etc.) which are very low risk.
- Properties that allow pets will increase the
average length of time a Tenant will stay. Tenants
with a pet have virtually no choice of properties compared
with non-pet owners.
- All Tenants will sign in their contract a clause agreeing
to a professional carpet clean and flea treatment
upon vacation.
- All Tenants will pay a higher deposit.
